Overview:

GoDaddy opened their doors in 1997 and were an instant success with thanks to their famous super bowl commercials and their high profile company mascots like US model, Candice Michelle. GoDaddy offer both web hosting and domain registration and boast the cheapest domain registration fees on the internet for the .com domain extension. 11 years on and GoDaddy now has more domain names behind them than any other domain registrar in the world.

Customer Service:

GoDaddy has a huge client base and cannot afford to lose value and respect from their customers for bad support. Email replies are usually quick and their phone teams are polite and friendly. We would advise against calling at peak times as may be waiting for 10 to 15 minutes for an answer however with 24/7 email and phone support this should not be a problem.

Control Panel:

Godaddy have built their own control panel that is more easy to use than their last. That said, if you are used to using cPanel this can be a bit of a leap as navigation is very different making finding things more difficult. Unlike other web hosts out there, GoDaddy's control panel was built with up-sells in mind... Instead of focusing on their web hosting, GoDaddy have tried to create something far too complex resulting in a control panel full of adverts and "special offers".

Price:

GoDaddy aren't as cheap as other leading web hosting providers out there but it's fair to say that their pricing is reasonable. With plans to cater for a range of audiences rest assure there will be a plan perfectly suited to you and your needs. GoDaddy's web hosting plans start at just $4.24 per month which includes 10 GB of web space and 300 GB of data transfer - not quite unlimited but plenty just the same.

Reliability:

GoDaddy have suffered some bad publicity over time because of their poor track record for uptime. Things seem to be improving nowadays though and we've found their servers are much more reliable and even faster than before. Due to this massive improvement, GoDaddy are re-gaining trust from thousands of webmasters worldwide and are slowly creeping their way up the list of top 10 web hosting providers.

Summary:

GoDaddy offer excellent support and reasonable pricing across all their plans. That said you may want to look around at other providers first as GoDaddy's control panel is not one of the easiest to use. Either way they must be doing something right being one of the biggest hosting companies in the US.

Great offering

I just had to move out of and other Hosting provider to relocated my web site to GoDaddy. The transition went great and their customer and technical service responded in a timely manner.

Their service offering cover almost anythinf you would want to do and the price is is right. Yes some might say ther are cheaper services around but bottom you pay for what you get. I had cheaper hosting provider and they all had their limitation or issues..

So far I'm happy with GoDaddy..

My only concern with their offerinf is that they tend to push a lot of services at you in the purchasing process.

I've been a customer of Godaddy's for about two years now and I can highly recommend it to anyone looking for good web hosting. I've never had any problems with downtime and the features that are included in their hosting plan (economy plan in my case) is awesome… It has impressed me how good and responsible they are. I only had a few bugs in the beginning and then I got all the support I needed. I give Godaddy the thumbs up!

Godaddy have plenty to offer with in terms of hosting and domains. Domains are cheap and hosting is average but be careful using the order form as they try and make you add tons of extras into your shopping cart without knowing it! These guys know there stuff for sure, I just hope that the marketing doesn't become a higher priority to them over their customers.
